Visit the fascinating skeletons of whales in Wadi Hitan and much more, all while immersing yourself in the rich history and breathtaking landscapes of this unique region.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to accompany you for a visit to the famous sites of El Fayoum. Start your visit with Lake Qaroun, where you can see an amazing array of migratory birds. Lake Qaroun is the 3rd largest lake in Egypt and is reportedly one of the oldest natural lakes in the world. Enjoy a lunch break before continuing your journey to Wadi El Rayyan, a protected area featuring stunning waterfalls connected by two lakes. Next, visit Medinet Madi, where the main temple was built by Pharaohs Amenemhet III and completed by Amenemhet IV, dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek and Serpent Goddess Renenutet. Finally, explore Wadi Al Hitan, also known as Whale Valley, a protected landscape that contains many fossil remains of extinct whales. Overnight camping in Wadi Al Hitan.
Meals: Lunch and Dinner
After enjoying breakfast, continue exploring Wadi Al Hitan. On the way, take the opportunity to see Mudawara Mountain. Journey to Qasr Qaroun, the remains of the Greco-Roman City of Dinysios, where the temple dedicated to the God Sobek features a unique structure with rooms and staircases leading to the roof—an exceptional feature among Egypt’s temples. Then, visit Karanis, a town where two temples were built to worship the God Sobek, Petesouchos and Pnepheros, which contain the remarkable house of the Crocodile. After this fascinating tour, transfer back to Cairo.

Note: For domestic flights included in your tour, children aged 0-2 incur a fee of $15. Children aged 2 and above are classified as adults.
A deposit of 25% of the total tour price is required. During peak times (Christmas, New Year, and Easter), the deposit increases to 50%. Payment can be made via bank transfer (details will be provided), Western Union, or online.
