Tour Description

Your representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo by A/C vehicle to escort you for a visit to Wadi El Natrun, home to four surviving monasteries. The name Wadi El Natrun refers to the eight different lakes that produce Natron salt. Our first stop will be Deir Anba Bishoi, named after Bishoi, whose body still lies in the monastery. Early Christians chose this desert location for their monasteries due to the persecution they faced under Roman rule. Next, we will visit Deir al Baramus, the oldest of the four surviving monasteries, known for the story of the two sons of Valentinus who were tested to prove their faith. To conclude this fascinating tour, we will visit Deir El Suryani, the smallest yet most attractive monastery. Upon entry, you'll find domes, staircases, and balconies, and it is said to hold a lock of hair from Mary Magdalene. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.

Price Policy

Our prices are quoted in USD, but we also accept Euros and Sterling. The prices are per person and per trip, except during peak seasons such as Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays. You can easily change the currency by clicking the icon at the bottom of the page.

Children Policy

• Ages 0 - 1.99: Free of charge
• Ages 2 - 11.99: Pay 50% of the tour price
• Ages 12 and above: Pay the full tour price as an adult

Note: For domestic flights included in your tour, children aged 0-2 incur a fee of $15. Children aged 2 and above are classified as adults.

Payment Policy

A deposit of 25% of the total tour price is required. During peak times (Christmas, New Year, and Easter), the deposit increases to 50%. Payment can be made via bank transfer (details will be provided), Western Union, or online.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees are as follows:

• More than 1 week in advance: No cancellation fee
• 3 to 6 days in advance: 50% cancellation fee
• Within 2 days of departure: 100% cancellation fee

Important: All flights require a 100% cancellation fee.

If you are satisfied with the services provided, it is customary to give a gratuity, although you are not obligated to do so.
