Tour Description

At approximately 6:00 a.m., your tour guide from Valley the Kings will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for a visit to El Fayoum Oasis. Upon arrival, first visit Karanis, an ancient town where two temples were built to worship the god Sobek—Petesouchos and Pnepheros. Both temples contain the incredible House of the Crocodile. Next, journey to Lake Qaroun, where you will see an amazing array of migratory birds. Lake Qaroun is the third largest lake in Egypt and is believed to be one of the oldest natural lakes in the world. Continue to Qasr Qaroun, the remains of the Graeco-Roman city of Dinysios. The temple, dedicated to the god Sobek, features a square exterior but contains rooms and staircases leading to the roof, making it a must-see as few Egyptian temples have roofs and even fewer allow access. Finally, head to Wadi El Rayyan, a protected area where you can enjoy the stunning waterfalls connected by two lakes. After your adventure, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.

Pricing

Price Policy

Our prices are quoted in USD, but we also accept Euros and Sterling. The prices are per person and per trip, except during peak seasons such as Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays. You can easily change the currency by clicking the icon at the bottom of the page.

Children Policy

• Ages 0 - 1.99: Free of charge
• Ages 2 - 11.99: Pay 50% of the tour price
• Ages 12 and above: Pay the full tour price as an adult

Note: For domestic flights included in your tour, children aged 0-2 incur a fee of $15. Children aged 2 and above are classified as adults.

Payment Policy

A deposit of 25% of the total tour price is required. During peak times (Christmas, New Year, and Easter), the deposit increases to 50%. Payment can be made via bank transfer (details will be provided), Western Union, or online.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees are as follows:

• More than 1 week in advance: No cancellation fee
• 3 to 6 days in advance: 50% cancellation fee
• Within 2 days of departure: 100% cancellation fee

Important: All flights require a 100% cancellation fee.

Tipping

If you are satisfied with the services provided, it is customary to give a gratuity, although you are not obligated to do so.
