Proceed now to visit the World War II Cemeteries, located on a small peninsula with a view overlooking the sea. Here lies the resting place for Italian, German, Greek, and Commonwealth soldiers. Let us now take a drive to Alexandria to visit the Great Pompay's Pillar, a Roman column and the most famous in Egypt. Now continue on to see the Qaitbay Citadel, known as the Lighthouse, which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs. After this, we journey on to visit the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery, which has three levels that have been cut into the rock.
