Enjoy a Private Day Trip from Aswan to visit Kom Ombo and Edfu. Accompanied by a qualified Egyptologist guide, you'll first explore Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek and the Falcon-Headed God Horus, where you can admire the impressive stone columns and sanctuaries. After a delicious boxed lunch, continue on to Edfu to visit the magnificent temple dedicated to Horus.
Our qualified Egyptologist Guide from Valley the Kings will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan at 8:00 am by A/C vehicle for a private day tour to the beautiful Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. Our first visit will be to Kom Ombo Temple, which overlooks the Nile. This temple is unique as it features a double entrance, dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. There is also a crocodile museum housing approximately 300 crocodile mummies.
After this visit, take a break and enjoy your included boxed lunch. Then continue to Edfu to explore the majestic Edfu Temple, regarded as the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. It contains significant scenes and inscriptions of the sacred drama, where Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by defeating Seth. After your visits, which will conclude around 4:00 pm, you’ll take a comfortable drive back to your hotel in Aswan or Luxor, depending on your preference.
