Enjoy a Group Day Trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for an unforgettable adventure to the stunning Abu Simbel Temples. The engineers who constructed these temples designed the sacred entrance so that the sun’s rays illuminate the faces of the gods inside. This remarkable phenomenon occurs every year in February and October.
Our qualified Egyptologist Guide will pick you up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan by A/C vehicle to enjoy a trip to Abu Simbel. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered masterpieces of ancient Egypt, reflecting the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO cooperated to save these temples from floods that threatened over 28 monuments. Hidden behind the chambers, statues and hieroglyphics adorn every wall. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods: Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Ramses II himself. The great Abu Simbel Temple is also known as the Sun Temple of Ramses II. The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also called the Temple of Hathor, who was the wife of the Sun God, symbolizes the union of Ramses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God. After enjoying this fabulous trip, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan.
