Tour Description

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you before emigration & passport control, holding a sign with your name. He will assist you with obtaining the visa and the Egypt entry stamp, collect your luggage, and then escort you to the hotel in a private bus. During the drive, he will review the detailed itinerary. Check-in and overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 2: Pyramids – Memphis – Saqqara

Breakfast at the hotel. We will start our day by visiting the necropolis of Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramidal structure. Next, we will explore Memphis, the oldest capital of Egypt, now an open-air museum. Lunch will be at a quality restaurant with a set menu featuring grilled chicken/kebab and kofta (vegetarian options available upon request). Afterward, we will visit the Giza Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World (optional camel ride or pyramid entry available for extra fees), followed by visits to the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

 

Day 3: The Highlights of Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the Alabaster Mosque, built by Muhammad Ali in the 19th century, located within the Saladin Citadel from the 12th century. Next, we’ll explore the Coptic quarter of Cairo, including the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and Amr Ibn Al-As Mosque. Lunch will be served at a floating restaurant overlooking the Nile River. Afterward, we will visit the Egyptian Museum, showcasing pharaonic history, followed by a walking tour of Khan El Khalili, the oldest market in the Islamic part of the city. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

 

Day 4: Luxor – Karnak Temple – Luxor Temple

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, we will escort you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will meet our representative, collect your luggage, and transfer to a luxury Nile cruise. After check-in and some rest, lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, we will visit the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank of the Nile River in Luxor. Return to the cruise for dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.

 

Day 5: West Bank of Luxor

Breakfast on board. Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, where we will visit three royal tombs (excluding Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses V & VI). Next, we will visit the funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built into the mountains, followed by the Colossi of Memnon, the huge statues of King Amenemhat III. Return to the cruise for lunch as we sail toward Edfu, passing through the floodgate of Esna. Dinner on board and overnight in Edfu.

 

Day 6: Edfu Temple – Kom Ombo Temple

Breakfast on board. We will visit Edfu Temple by horse carriage, dedicated to the god Horus. Afterward, we’ll return to the cruise and continue sailing to Kom Ombo. Lunch will be served on board while we sail. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, we will walk to visit Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the cruise and continue sailing to Aswan for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 7: Abu Simbel Temples – Felucca Expedition

We will start early at 04:00 AM to drive to Abu Simbel (approx. 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, we will visit the two temples: the larger one for Ramses II and the smaller one for his wife, Nefertari. Afterward, we will return to Aswan for lunch on board. Before sunset, we will enjoy a one-hour sailing trip on the Nile around Elephantine and Kitchener Islands aboard a traditional felucca to enjoy the sunset. Return to the cruise for dinner and overnight in Aswan.

 

Day 8: Aswan Highlights

Breakfast on board, then disembark from the Nile cruise. We will start our last day tour by visiting Philae Temple on Agilika Island, dedicated to the goddess Isis, followed by the Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut and the High Dam of Aswan. After finishing the tour, we will escort you to Aswan International Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you will wait for your international flight.
