Hurghada
Experience a four-day Nile cruise from Hurghada to Aswan and Luxor. Enjoy visits to Philae Temple, Kom Ombo, and Edfu, before exploring the stunning sites of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Karnak and Luxor Temples. All the while, relax and unwind aboard this exceptional Nile cruise.
Our Valley the Kings Representative will meet you at your Hotel in Hurghada to transfer you in an A/C car to Aswan for your Nile Cruise, approximately 7 hours driving from Hurghada. **Embarkation** will occur before Lunch. After Lunch, your Egyptologist Guide will accompany you to visit the famous High Dam, which controls all of Egypt's water. It is the largest rock-filled dam; in fact, you could be standing on it and not even know it. The Dam has 3 years of Nile water stored. Then, visit the unique Unfinished Obelisk, which weighs 1,168 tons; had it been finished, it would have weighed 1,200 tons. Many of the casing stones for the 2 pyramids at Giza came from this Quarry in Aswan. Finally, visit the beautiful Philae Temple, built for the Goddess Isis, who represents Health, Marriage, and Wisdom.
Meals: Lunch and Dinner
Breakfast on board. Now sail to Kom Ombo. The Nile is not just life for Egypt but is also a source of goodness; that is why most of the Temples in Egypt are built on the River. Visit the wonderful Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Horus. Sobek, also known as the Crocodile, is the God of the Nile, the Army, and fertility. Horus is the God of Sky and Kingship. Sail to Edfu to visit Horus Temple, which houses important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama related to the conflict between Horus and Seth. Afternoon tea during sailing to Luxor.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
After Breakfast on board, visit the West Bank, home of the famous Valley of the Kings. Explore the tombs of King Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, King Thutmose, and Amonhotep II. Unlock the secrets of the Royal Tombs, a world of mystery and treasure. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut was the first Pharaonic woman to rule Egypt. Next, see the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile, twin statues of Amenhotep III.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
After Breakfast, our Guide will accompany you to visit the magical Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, dedicated to the God Amun and his wife Mut. Karnak Temple was the place where the earliest International Peace Treaty known to Historians was preserved. Then, continue to the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amunhotep III and completed by Ramses II. Enjoy visiting the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon.
